Data is the lifeblood of software based systems – encoding everything from low level system configuration to complex rules for decision support applications.
Data can be prepared and loaded before the mission, updated over real time communication links and/or derived from sensor systems. In all cases compatibility of formats and semantics are essential elements for interoperability. Equally important are the details of the processing that consumes, combines and generates the data.
3SDL has a deep understanding of data transfer and fusion protocols, formats and processes. And we recognise the critical role that data acquisition, logistical support and maintenance play in optimising systems with respect to operational performance and cost.
By defining, reviewing and documenting requirements for data processing and management, 3SDL can help to maximize interoperability and system performance, while giving realistic guidance on the cost and other implications of potential data management strategies.
