Background:
As a graduate of the UK's Defence Academy and a senior member of 3SDL’s Cyber Security specialism I help clients across the UK, Scandinavia and Mediterranean preserve and enhance their security, particularly with regards their information. This has included risk and threat assessments, specification of solutions, validation of testing and through-life support for a variety of systems and networks, large and small. As I move now to address the modern “Cyber” threats my ambition is providing pragmatic, affordable and cost effective technical support and advice to our clients in order to meet and exceed their objectives on-time and to budget.
Specialist Skills:
I have been a touch-typist since my early school days and, as an avid Internet user since 1994, have been brought up in an environment of IP networks. Latterly as a Chartered Engineer I have moved to develop an understanding in both commercial and defence security requirements. This experience, combined with regular training, such as Information Security Management System (ISMS) Lead Implementation, has led me to achieve formal certification, including membership of the CESG Listed Advisor Scheme and Chartered IT Professional status. My particular specialisms involve applying a range of technical skills to acquisition in the form of workshop facilitation, requirements specification, in-depth technical support and general advice for today’s Cyber threats.
Personal:
Although a British Citizen, I lived in the United States for eight years and still retain a keen interest in international travel. When home in the west of England I apply my non-IT engineering skills to the maintenance of various arguably classic cars.
