Dibble is a co-founder of 3SDL. At just 17 Dibble gained his pilot’s licence and signed up for a 20 year commission in the Royal Air Force.
He initially trained as a pilot before graduating in 1985 as a combat ready Air Battle Manager and did a real smorgasbord of land-based tours and sea-borne deployments in the UK, Near East, and Central and South America.
Dibble spent a lot of time training and examining, both as controller and as a qualified weapons instructor (QWI). He quickly gained a life-long reputation for his ability to think differently! After leaving the RAF he became the UK MoD’s head of delegation to a number of international boards dealing with information systems. After a stint at the UK’s defence acquisition agency he was recruited by STASYS (now Lockheed Martin).
Matt is the Managing Director and co-founder of 3SDL Ltd. Matt is passionate about life-long training and education both for 3SDL staff and for our clients.
Although busy with running our growing company, Matt still makes time to keep his hand in with training and delivers courses all around the world.
Jon is a co-founder of 3SDL. He spent 25 years working for UK and international armed forces, during this time he provided technical support to a diverse range of Data Link and Combat Identification programmes.
Much of this work centred around participating in and leading numerous data links trials/exercises in the UK, Europe and the US.
As a defence civilian employee, he was deployed to Italy during the Kosovo Crisis in 1999 as a member of the DERA team responsible for managing and monitoring allied multi-TDL networks during Op ALLIED FORCE. This unique opportunity gave him invaluable experience of the priorities and pressures of real-time data link operational network management.
Mike Cartwright joined 3SDL as its part-time Finance Director in January 2017. He brings a wealth of experience to the Company through many years of board roles in a variety of organisations across a wide range of sectors. Most importantly, Mike is the independent voice on 3SDL’s Board, advising as a non-exec on all aspects of governance and ensuring a strategy-led approach to sustainable growth. He has a passion for helping to grow successful businesses that complement his fellow Directors, and his ‘hands-on’ approach has helped steer 3SDL through the 12th year of business and into the future.
Levi joined 3SDL in November 2018 as our Head of Business Services and Training. Following 12 years in the RAF, Levi has developed a strong background in leading the delivery of Strategic Human Resource Management, won credibility through focused training consultancy across the ISTAR Force, and supported the executive leadership of capability development and delivery within the Headquarters. In 3SDL, Levi is responsible for all enabling business functions whilst remaining an active Reservist.
Chris joined 3SDL in November 2017 as our Head of Business Growth. He left the military in 2015 after a 30 year career and previously worked for a large consultancy, as the client director responsible for their Ministry of Defence account. An RAF navigator by trade, Chris has a very strong background in intelligence and information systems as an operator, senior leader and capability manager. In 3SDL, he has responsibility for sales and marketing and he works from our Lincoln office. Chris is also an active RAF Reservist.
Jeff is a high-achieving senior leader, with a sustained record of successful strategic planning, operational delivery and change leadership. He has over 30 years of military experience as a Royal Air Force officer, leaving in 2016 as an Air Commodore; he is atypically experienced across all domains of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operational aviation and command, capability procurement, programme delivery, policy development and strategic management.
Having commanded at Squadron, Station, Deployed Operating Base and Force levels, including command of the UK’s ISR Force, Jeff joined 3SDL as Head of ISR in May 2017.
Steve has over 20 years’ experience in software development and systems engineering within the defence sector. Steve spent 17 years within BAE Systems and their subsidiaries with roles including Software Developer, Software Team Lead and Software Manager until finishing as the Tactical Data Link Design Authority for a range of TDL products and services.
Prior to joining 3SDL Steve spent 4 years as Test and Acceptance Lead at Rockwell Collins in support of delivering a TDL ground C2 system.
Bill joined 3sdl in May 2017 as the EW&C Team Lead. He comes from an Army, Engineering and Project Management background. He left the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Corps of Signals having commanded at Regimental level and having spent his time with R SIGNALS units, UKSF, SPCISR IPT and DERA. He is a Chartered Engineer and since Apr 2008 he has project managed many research, development, delivery and product introduction projects.
Bill has over 20 years of military experience with Communications and Surveillance systems as well as training delivery, research and procurement. He is an experienced leader and project manager of large, international and complex projects as well as being a capable requirements manager and engineer.
