Our team specialise in overcoming the complexity of multi-source data to collate, curate, and analyse data from a variety of sources. We have worked with partners, including Dstl to support development of bespoke capability; pulling research across the ‘valley of death’ into real-world solutions. By working together our engineers and operators are able to focus on delivering software solutions to pressing operational challenges.
In the data rich world visualising the ‘big picture’ is a core element of decision
making at every level. Our team have a wide background in developing and supporting situational awareness systems that give decision makers the information they need, in a format they recognise. The importance of the operational context underpins our approach, ensuring that operational effectiveness is never compromised by technical detail.
Our software engineers work with customers to constantly evolve and improve data handling algorithms; most recently this has included the adoption of Machine Learning to realise significant operational benefits for the front-line. For example, getting accurate, real-time information on the thousands of radars that exist globally, many of which are being used by hostile nations to track and potentially threaten UK military operations is problematic, time-consuming and costly; in addition to the risk of leaving our Armed Forces operating with limited information. Working with Dstl, 3SDL helped develop new and novel machine-learning software to automate processes, identifying threats in near real time and enabling more accurate geo-location.
3SDL brings together highly qualified software engineers with vastly experienced operators to connect and protect systems and services for operational users. 3SDL has continually proven its ability to transition ideas and concepts into prototypes and finally into deliverable software capabilities; especially when we have to overcome complex integration problems within challenging timeframes and cost restrictions.
