ISR Operations Fundamentals
This 10 day course is designed for individuals that are new to ISR Operations and wish to understand how ISR assets are planned and managed. During the first phase, students will re-cap on their basic ISR knowledge and combine this with an overview of airborne sensors and wider intelligence capabilities. During the second phase, students will learn about the fundamental mechanics of ISR Operations at multiple levels including at a tactical battlegroup up to and including multinational combined operations using current NATO missions as a working example.
By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of ISR Operations and will be able to operate in an environment that supports ISR missions. This support will include the planning of ISR operations, Process, Exploit, Disseminate (PED) liaison and input to the synchronisation of ISR assets. This will be tested during an exercise in the second week of the course.
Students wishing to attend this course do not need previous ISR Operations experience but should have some form of ISR Fundamentals training or equivalent operationally relevant experience.
We also offer further training in the form of the ISR Operations Practitioner Course, which builds on subjects introduced in this course.
The course is ideally suited for individuals looking to begin a role in the ISR operations domain.
