Last week, 2 teams of 3SDL’s CADS participated in the national final of Cyber Centurion. Standards were very high and both teams did exceptionally well – coming 3rd and 8th overall out of over 500 teams. 3SDL and the CADS were also the only group with two teams in the final, demonstrating the incredible hard work and attitude of the young people who participated.
The atmosphere at the competition was tense, all teams wanted to win the top prize - a trip to the USA. Both teams were calm and able to perform outstandingly under the pressure.
Cameron Lewis and Jon Webster from 3SDL’s Cyber team were at the event to support the CADS, and Cameron said: “They were exceptionally well behaved and demonstrated a professional approach towards to competition. Through their attitude and conduct they were perfect representatives of the CADS scheme and 3SDL. They showed great enthusiasm throughout which was reflected in their performance.”
The day was a great success, and highlighted the amazing work put in by the CADS this year. Both teams have grown in confidence, and show great potential for success in their future endeavours.
3SDL would like to thank the Chase School, and specifically Mr Palmer, for supporting the CADS throughout the event and providing the transportation to the event.
