In October, 3SDL took on the Fit and Ready cycle challenge which involved staff from our UK offices tackling a 450-mile static ride in stages over 16 days, along a virtual route from Malvern to Lincoln to Edinburgh. We also had a team of brave 3SDL cyclists on the road for the last two stages into Edinburgh, culminating in a sprint over the finish line at IDLS 2019.
3SDL Fit and Ready promotes health, wellbeing and teamwork in our organisation and encourages our wider community of customers, friends and family to give their time and support to a worthy cause. We took on this challenge in support of MIND, a UK charity dedicated to providing advice and help to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of staff in the offices, the road cycling team, and our friends at BRAVEDOG and Workshed Swindon: business innovation creation, we managed to triple our mile target and cycle over 1350 miles, raising an incredible £500 for MIND. This money will help MIND to make sure everyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
Thankyou to everyone who contributed miles, donations, or simply helped raise awareness, and we pledge to continue to advocate for the normalisation of mental health issues in the workplace.
